DBT FUNDED PROJECT : The Rural-Urban Interface of Bangalore: A Space of Transitions in Agriculture, Economics, and Society

 Legal basis of the collaboration and co-funding concept

The proposed project will constitute the first collaborative Research Unit within the co-funding framework of the Indian-German Memorandum of Understanding between DBT and DFG signed in December 2012. Individual partnerships with our German counterparts were identified at the PI level. Therefore each project inthis package as submitted to DBT is matched with aGerman co-project in FOR2432 which has beens submitted to DFG on 20 July 2015. Letters of Intent signed by the participating institutions formed the basis for the initial preparatory phase since 2011. A Memorandum of Agreement was signed by the heads of UASB, ICAR/NIANP, Universität Kassel, and Georg-August-Universität Gottingen in February 2014 in Bangalore and amended in May 2015.
